About the Session

In this presentation, the NC State Donor Services team will discuss how to utilize data to make informed and strategic decisions that pave the way for a successful digital endowment reporting implementation. Using the lessons learned during NC State’s digital launch, which included 3,000 digital reports to its donors in 2019, the presentation will detail how data analytics can be harnessed to provide direction through every phase of digital endowment reporting to assess, plan and leapfrog forward.

  • Clearly define the steps in a successful digital endowment reporting project
  • Design analytic tools that best meet institutional needs in measuring digital endowment report engagement
  • Utilize engagement statistics to make data-driven decisions to improve donor relations

About the Speaker

Assistant Director of Donor Services
North Carolina State University

Kristy  has more than ten years of experience documenting and improving processes in nonprofits and higher education. Her specialties at NC State include streamlining the centralized endowment reporting process, overseeing distinguished professorship agreements and metrics, and helping to manage the corporate gift agreement review process. Kristy holds a bachelor's degree in English/communications from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and a master's degree in public administration from NC State.

Tommy King
Donor Services Specialist
North Carolina State University

Tommy King is responsible for the endowment reporting process, data analysis and technology support for NC State's donor services team. Prior to joining NC State in 2019, Tommy was a student worker in institutional advancement at Carthage College and was a data analytics intern at Racine Vocational Ministry. Tommy holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Carthage College and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in computer science at NC State.
